Franco Fontana
Franco Fontana is Chief Executive Officer of the Esaote Group and Managing Director of EBIT Srl, a wholly-owned company of Esaote dedicated to the PACS business.
Franco has matured more than twenty years of experience in software applied to medical imaging and healthcare IT, along a professional career that started as an entrepreneur and evolved as an executive manager. Before joining Esaote, in a pioneering phase of PACS development, he was co-founder of Aet Srl and Aetmed Spa, lately incorporated into Esaote. He took the direction of the BU of EBIT AET, belonging to Esaote Group since 2008.
Under his leadership, the Medical IT PACS business is constantly growing year after year, and Ebit has become a market leader in Italy and consolidated its international presence in Europe, Latin America and APAC. Franco holds a doctorate in Computer Science and telecommunications at the University of Genoa and subsequently an Executive MBA at SDA Bocconi.
Eugenio Biglieri
Eugenio Biglieri is Chief Operating Officer of the Esaote Group.
Eugenio joined Esaote in 1985 in the MRI R&D sequence development team, then he contributed to define and develop the Dedicated MRI business taking different responsibilities first in R&D, managing the highly innovative development activities in permanent magnet design, gradients, coils and sequences, then, as Product Manager, he managed the definition and launch of the E-scan, S-scan, O-scan and G-scan products.
Over the years he has covered positions of increasing responsibility, up to hold the roles of MRI Marketing Director and Chief Global Service Officer. A graduate in Physics with a thesis in MRI, he is also the owner of several patents in Dedicated MRI technology.
